Nature Scavenger Hunt

What You Need:

- Paper
- Pencils
- Paper or plastic bags
 

What To Do:

Make a list of 10 to 20 things you may be able to find in a particular area.  Protect the environment by making sure living plants or animals are not on the list.  You will have to check out the area first to see just what sort of things you can put on the list.

At the beach you could list items such as a broken shell, a perfect shell,  a stone, some seaweed, driftwood etc.  In a park the list could include a pine cone, a white stone, a brown leaf, etc

Each child has a copy of the list and a bag for the 'treasures'.  Set a time limit and at the end, the person who has found the most items is the winner.
